Terms of Service

SLDocs is a service operated by Fiji Systems LLC dba SLDocs (“SLDocs,” “we,” “us”).

By creating an account or using SLDocs you agree to these terms, which we update as the service evolves. Account holders are also bound by the terms presented at sign-up and by the conditions below:

• SLDocs is offered solely to residents of, and entities organized under the laws of, the United States. By creating an account you represent that you meet that requirement.
• You agree not to upload content that you do not have the right to store, that violates U.S. law, or that infringes the intellectual-property or privacy rights of others.
• You agree to keep your authentication credentials confidential and to notify us promptly at info@sldocs.com if you suspect your account has been accessed without your authorization.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that are used to harm other users or the service.

Plans, billing, and refunds

• Individual paid plans are billed annually. Your plan renews automatically each year unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• We do not refund payments already made for a current or prior term. We may, at our discretion, issue refunds in unusual circumstances; this is not a published entitlement.
• Free accounts are subject to a periodic engagement requirement. After an extended period of inactivity (currently 36 months, with advance email reminders), a free account becomes soft-locked: your data is preserved, and you can restore access by signing in.
• If a paid account lapses and is later reactivated, a reactivation fee may apply, based on how long the account was inactive plus a fixed administrative component. Contact us for the exact amount applicable to your account.

Access to your documents after death or incapacity

You can designate recipients during your lifetime; access for a designated recipient is provided at no additional charge. Where no usable recipient was designated, an estate executor may request access through our executor access process, which requires documentary proof and carries a flat $250 administrative fee payable from the estate (waived if SLDocs has announced a wind-down of operations). All such access is read-only.

Identity verification and account recovery

We may verify your identity at any time to protect your account. To adjudicate an executor request or an assisted account-recovery request, an authorized reviewer may examine the documents submitted and, for executor requests, may decrypt the account holder's identity details and will-type documents solely to confirm the request is legitimate. Where you have lost access to every authentication method, we may re-establish account control based on documentary identity proof — which means that someone who can sufficiently impersonate you with such documents could gain access; keep your recovery information current and secure.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas, and you consent to that venue.

Text messaging (SMS) program terms

If you provide a mobile number and opt in, SLDocs sends account and security text messages — sign-in (two-factor) codes, document-access codes, and account notifications. This is a transactional program; we do not send marketing or promotional texts.

• Message frequency varies with your account activity.
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• Reply STOP to any message to cancel and opt out of further texts. Reply HELP for help, or email info@sldocs.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to your carrier’s network availability.
• How we handle your mobile number and SMS opt-in data — including our commitment not to sell or share it with third parties for marketing — is described in our Privacy Policy.
